The
Carole Sund/Carrington
But we're grateful the the Sund/Carrington Foundation for something else... or perhaps more accurately, for someone else: Kim Petersen, the Foundation's Executive Director (no relation to Laci Peterson). Kim has been with us from the beginning, providing advice and guidance. As the events of this case heated-up and the family began feeling overwhelmed, Kim stepped-in and managed the situation like a pro. It was truly a sight to see! She ran the press conferences, fielded reporters' questions, appeared on CNN and other major news networks, and is now successfully shielding the family from media intrusion and scrutiny at perhaps the worst moment of their lives. Now, Kim and the Sund/Carrington Foundation are pitching in to try to replace some of the functionality lost when the command center at the Red Lion Hotel in Modesto closed. Our deepest thanks go to Kim and the Sund/Carrington Foundation. The Carole Sund/Carrington Foundation is a memorial reward foundation created by Francis and Carole Carrington after the deaths of their daughter, granddaughter and family friend in Yosemite National Park in the spring of 1999. The organization's mission is "to provide funds to families without economic means to offer rewards for information to help law enforcement officials locate missing loved ones and to bring violent crimes to justice. Additionally, the foundation is determined to raise public awareness surrounding the problem of missing persons and violent crime in this country."
