    In loving memory of

      "Laci and Connor"

When somebody dies, a cloud turns into

an angel, and flies up to tell God
to put another flower on a pillow.
A bird gives the message back to
the world, and sings a silent prayer
that makes the rain cry. People disappear,
but they never really go away.
The spirits up there put the sun to
bed, wake up grass, and spin the
earth in dizzy circles. Sometimes you
can see them dancing in a cloud during
the day-time, when they're supposed
to be sleeping. They paint the rain-
bows and also the sunsets and make
waves splash and tug at the tide.
They toss shooting stars and listen to
wishes. And when they sing wind-
songs, they whisper to us, don't
miss me too much. The view is nice
and I'm doing just fine.

Kathy Burd from Massillon, Ohio

The tide recedes
but leaves behind
bright seashells on the sand,
The sun goes down,
but gentle warmth
still lingers on the land,
The music stops,
and yet it echos on
in sweet refrains....
For every joy that passes,
something beautiful remains.

I said a prayer for you today
"And know God must have
heard
"I felt His answer in my heart
"Although He spoke no word
"I didn't ask for wealth or fame
"I knew you wouldn't mind
"I asked He'd send you treasures
"Of a far more lasting kind
"I prayed He'd be with you
"At the start of each new day
"To grant you health and happiness
"And friends to share your way
"I prayed He'd be with you
"In all things great and small
"It was for His loving care
"I prayed for most of all

with much love,

Journey On

Journey on, oh precious one,
The stars will light your way.
To the shores of Heaven,
 and everlasting day.

Soar beyond the sunset,
 on angelic wings.
Listen to the praises of
 the Son as angels sing.

And as you journey onward,
Don't fret for those who weep.
You're in our hearts forever,
 this memory bittersweet.

The joy you have given
 can't be erased by time.
Death can't take your memory
that lives in this heart of mine.

So journey on, my precious one

to He that brought you here.
As you walk with God the father,
 I'll always feel you near.

And when my earthly days are done,
we'll meet again, my precious one.
I will hold you close once more
and walk with you on Heaven's shore
with all our earthly sorrows gone.

So take your flight, and journey on.

        Don't Cry For Me

I AM SURROUNDED BY A LIGHT OF LOVE
I AM AT ETERNAL PEACE
I AM ASKING FROM MY HEART
PLEASE DON'T CRY FOR ME

I AM DANCING WITH THE ANGELS
I AM LAUGHING & SINGING IN THE WIND
I AM LOVING EVERY MOMENT
SO DON'T CRY FOR ME MY FRIEND.

I AM ALWAYS BY YOUR SIDE
I AM WHISPERING IN YOUR EAR
I AM TELLING HOW I LOVE YOU
SO DON'T CRY FOR ME MY DEAR

I AM FULL OF JOY AND HAPPINESS
I AM WITH THE LORD ABOVE
SO PLEASE DON'T CRY FOR ME
FROM LACI AND CONNOR, WITH LOVE

Pieces of your life;

Traces of your memory
Lie before me.

I see your papers, your extra buttons, all your
   little knick-knacks.
I think how each of these pieces
Fit together to make the whole of your days;
I wonder what you thought and felt as you
   used each one.
I want to touch you
As I sit here and remember.
I can hear your voice and smell your perfume
(Estee Lauder Youth Dew - to me it will always smell like you.)
Lazy laughter ringing through summers past;
Traces of happiness flash through my mind.
So many memories!
When I'm alone;
I can almost feel your touch.
It's those times that I realize that my life is but a branch
   of yours.
Everything that you were has now become a part of me;
And I am determined to make a light in the world
   as bright as yours.

Yet, as I sit here, thinking of you, of your life,
It seems so little when I can't touch you.
But I take comfort in the knowledge
That one day,
One day, somewhere,
I will see you again
And we will laugh and love together once more.

The earth stood still, for that very moment, that very day
The snow-white clouds delicately covered the diamond-blue sky
The trees stopped swaying, feeling the silence enrapture them
The birds stopped harmonizing, and the flowers discontinued blooming
The water stopped flowing musically in patterns
Suddenly, a small, bright beam of marvelous sunlight shone through
The clouds separated slowly, like a circle of love that never ends
A beautiful, brown-haired angel, slowly rose, like a butterfly
spreading its
wings
She flew away, from a family, who's tears sprinkled down their rosy
cheeks
She flew, casting her love, kindness, and care to the people who
watched her
She flew right into the arms, of golden-haired angels
She flew into a place, where we've have only imagined
A place where dreams live on forever and a place where hope never dies
A place where whispers are wonders and tears are sacred
A place where hate is not tolerated and only harmony persists
Before she entered the gold-iron gates, she turned to her family
She promised to be near them, holding them, and guiding them
She would be the snow-white clouds that covered the diamond-blue sky
She would be the spectacular willow trees that sang in the wind
She would be the birds, who sang beautiful tunes of praise and hope
She would be the flowers, who closed in the winter and opened to new
life in
the spring
She would be the angel on their shoulders, carrying
lives
She whispered to them not to feel sad, but to know she would always be
Her spirit lived on forever, and her love was eternal
With that, she finished her flight, gathering all who welcomed her in
her
arms

       Darkest Light

you see the light, but it's so far
until one day you see that star
you are there, we are here
in our hearts we hold so near
loving and beautiful
taken so soon
you and your child live now
with the moon

When I Must Leave You
When I must leave you
for a little while-
Please do not grieve
and shed wild tears
And hug your sorrow to you
through the years,
But start out bravely
with a gallant smile;
And for my sake
and in my name
Live on and do
all things the same,
Feed not your loneliness
in comfort and cheer
on empty days,
But fill each waking hour
in useful ways,
Reach out your hand
and I in turn will comfort you
and hold you near;
And never, never
be afraid to die,
For I am waiting for you in the sky!

 Please Don't Cry For Me

Whenever the wind blows, please remember me
I know this was not how it was suppose to be
But we're finally at peace and free from pain
We've been rescued you see, my baby Connor and me
It was Jesus who found us and set us free
So Please don't cry for me

For no one knows why this was meant to be
Why we had to leave you, Connor and me
It was Jesus who found us and set us free

So Please don't cry for me

Connor and I are resting now in Jesus' holy land

He came to us and lead us by his loving hand
I'll miss each and every one of you, I cannot deny
But Jesus has found us, so please don't cry

For life is anew and you must go on
To find comfort and strength

To carry on-
The journey will be long and hard at times

But know that I will always be by your side   And remember, we're suffering no more
Because Jesus has found us and set us free
So Please don't cry for me.

YOU SHARED THESE YEARS TOGETHER
GROWING AND LEARNING AND BUILDING MEMORIES
NOW EVEN THOUGH SHE'S GONE AWAY
YOU'LL NOT FORGET THOSE DAYS
WHEN YOU SHARED IN EACH OTHER'S LIVES

EVEN THOUGH, THEY'LL BE MANY TEARS
YOU WILL CHERISH ALL OF THOSE YEARS
AND HER MEMORY, WILL REMAIN IN YOUR HEARTS

YOU EACH BECAME A PART
OF ONE ANOTHER'S HEARTS
AND IT'S SO HARD NOW, TO SAY GOOD-BYE

BUT EVEN THOUGH, SHE'S GONE AWAY
YOU WILL SEE HER AGAIN ONE DAY
AND SHARE IN EACH OTHER'S LIVES
FOREVER
