She may be gone now, but then agian she's not.  She's with you every minute, hour and every single thought.  The breeze you feel upon your face is just her passing by, she wants to reach out and to touch you, but she knows it would only make you cry.  She really wants to tell you that everything is fine, she is well taken care of for the master has nothing but time.  She will be with you forever but she will never ever be seen, she will protect from the things that are bad which could be anything.  Just remember that she loves you and she will wait for you untill the end, she's in a better place now for happiness to begin.

We Remember Her Smile

In the darkness of our world there was a candle
that glowed.
It was Laci.
We remember her smile.
In the evening when we pray
We remember her smile.
In the morning when the sun rises we think of her
and all that she loved: family, her friends,
good food, Neil Diamond and wine.
We remember her smile.
In the midst of our darkness
We remember her smile
and it lifts us.

Shed a Tear and Smile

When your hearts are aching,
With the loss of one's so dear,
You'll bow your heads in sorrow,
and shed a silent tear.

But those of you whose lives they touched
If only for a while
Hold precious memories in your hearts
and those will make you smile!

God Bless Laci and Connor and God Bless all of you who love them so much.

This poem was written by me for our daughter when she was killed.  I just adjusted it to fit Laci and Connor.

With Hugs and Prayers,
Ferne Chase

A NATIONS LOVE

I see your beautiful smile and I know just who your are.  You have a bubbly personality and you shine like a star.  You are a good friend the lends a helping hand.  A great wife devoted to only one man.  You are a loving daughter whos parents always knew, if you put your mind to it all your dreams would come true.  You are a special sister whom a sibling could never replace.  You can brighten up a room with that smile on your face.  Although I never met you I know that this is you.  You longed to be a mother and your dream would soon come true.  You felt such joy as Connor kicked and fluttered.  What a wonderful gift you would soon be a mother.  I'm sorry Laci, that you never held your son.  I'm sorry that for you the joys of motherhood never begun.  I'm sorry that you never got to say goodbye.  If you could only see that for you even strangers cry.  I can only imagine how you plead for yours and Connors lives to be spared.  How frightened you must have felt as into the eyes of death you stared.  Don't worry Laci, there is a nation on your side.  Whoever did this to you can run but they sure as hell can't hide.  I hope that Scott is not the one who did this to you.  The pain will be much greater if it was your husband who saw this through.  I know that you see us from the heavens above.  You hold little Connor in your arms and feel a nations love.
