BREATHE
Breathe me in.
Hold me for a while.
Let the smell of me linger,
And bring a gentle smile.
Let me go.
Feel the breath pass from your lungs.
Where have I gone?
No evidence of me remains,
But I am not gone.
Feel me in the wind.
See me in the grass,
That cushions your feet,
And softens your fall.
I am here still.
We do not own the breath,
But keep it for a moment,
And set it free again.
Briefly the odor lingers,
And wind brushes our face.
Breathe me in,
Let the wind dry your tears,
And let the smell of me,
Bring a smile to your lips.
Lay upon the grass with me.

Now you are two stars
two stars are looking down from the sky.
two stars are becoming two angels.
two stars will protect you from harms way.
two stars will be in our heart forever.

Gracing people with her smile
Bringing out the best in people
whose lives she touched.
A smile of joy and friendliness.
Her brown eyes full of twinkle.
Glowing in the sun light on a special day.
Brown eyed girl one of the many
characteristics people will remember.
Became a star the day she was born.
On that one day I will remember
two special people shining
down on loved ones.
The brightest stars in the sky.
Brown eyed girl a song that will
be cherished. Big smile of care
and love is now shining down.
An angel with golden wings
shining down upon us.
In memory of an angel
with a golden heart. submitted

May your troubled heart find peace
and comfort in the knowledge that you are never alone.
May God's presence ease your trembling spirit and give you rest.
He knows how you feel.
He is ever aware of your circumstances and ready to be your strength,
your grace, and your peace.
He is there to cast sunlight into all of your darkened shadows,
to send encouragement through the love of friends and family,
and to replace your weariness with new hope.
God is your stronghold, and with Him as your guide,
you need never be afraid.
No circumstances can block His love.
No grief is too hard for Him to bear.
No task is too difficult
for Him to complete.
When what you are feeling is simply too deep for words
and nothing anyone does or says can provide you with the relief you
need,
God understands.
He is your provider --
today, tomorrow, and always.
And He loves you.
Cast all of your cares on Him...
and believe.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight.
I am the stars that shine at night.
I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am the quiet in the room.
I am in the birds that sing,
I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there - I did not die. submitted

In Honor of Laci
We could only hope, We could only
pray, that your beautiful smile would light up this world again.
We can only believe, We can only know that God is in control.
If one thing was true, if one thing was you, it's the way your
smile warmed our hearts,
just by being you.
It forever beams, it for ever brings, a smile in each of us.
To know you was a gift. Each of us forever changed by, your
loving kindness that shines with in our hearts.
You touched so many lives in this troubled time.
Your smile gave strength to loved ones holding you dear. An
impression of you this world won't soon forget.
Your kindness and love lit up in your beautiful smile. We hold
dear to those we cheerish, love with everything we've got, and know
with in a heart beat, everything may not be as it is this day.
We love with all we've got, Know
with all we feel, that God and Laci and Connor's
love will pull us through , no matter how shattered our broken hearts
may be.
We hold onto eachother, We hold onto our God and know
He and Laci and Connor are holding onto us.

Tonight as I write
this, my candles are lit...
Two dim little flickers, in my front window they sit.
No, I've never met her, I've only seen her face...
On every pole, on
every window of every familiar place.
I've prayed and cried daily, like so many in this
town...
Each day a reminder that the time is getting down.
Today is the day that her little boy is due...
I remember how it felt for me, for I'm a mommy too.
I'm a sister, and a daughter, and a neighbor just like
she...
It doesn't take so much to know that it could easily
be me.
I ask myself, what would she do, if my face was on
that poster instead...
And I know in my heart that it would stay somewhere
locked inside her head.
She would watch for me in stores and malls, on the
road in passing cars...
She would keep open her eyes in hospitals,
restaurants, hotels and bars.
Paying attention to the faces of all women who passed
by her in her day...
For it takes only a moment for a path to cross that
way.
So I will make this promise to her, to look every
woman in the face...
To keep my faith, as she would do, if I were in her
place.
No, I never met her...but it makes no difference you
see...
In sisterhood, in motherhood, in womanhood, she is a
part of me.
So I send this off to you tonight, my family and my
friends...
And ask you to watch for her until this mystery ends.
Say a prayer, pass this on, for knowledge is my
ploy...
The one way I may help to find Laci and her little
boy.

Dear Laci and Connor, wherever you are
your lives touched our hearts with your fate from afar.
We saw your unforgettable smile as you were beaming with life. A daugher,
A sister, A friend, A mother to be, A wife.
A whole country's heart broke with your family's that day when thier Laci and
Connor were found by the bay, who had the right to take you away?
Please rest in peace, and never again feel pain. Watch over your family
until you are reunited again.
From a nation who feels like they have already met you, none of us will ever
forget you.
What beautiful angels you both must be, spread your wings and fly, feel peace,
be free.

TO THOSE I LOVE AND THOSE WHO
LOVE ME
When I am gone, release me, let me go~~
I have so many things to see and do,
Please don't tie yourself to me with tears,
Be thankful for our beautiful years.
I gave you my love. You can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness...
I thank you for the love you each have shown,
But now it's time I traveled on alone.
So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must,
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for a time that we must part
So bless the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away, for life goes on.
So, If you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear
All my love around you soft and clear,
And then, when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile, and say "Welcome Home! "

YOU TOO MUST WEEP
LET ME NOT LIVE A LIFE THAT'S FREE
FROM THE THINGS THAT DRAW ME CLOSE TO THEE
FOR HOW CAN I EVER HOPE TO HEAL
THE WOUNDS OF OTHER'S I DO NOT FEEL?
IF MY EYES ARE DRY AND I NEVER WEEP,
HOW DO I KNOW WHEN THE HURT IS DEEP?
IF MY HEART IS COLD AND NEVER BLEEDS,
HOW CAN I TELL WHAT MY BROTHER NEEDS?
FOR WHEN EARS ARE DEAF TO THE BEGGARS PLEA
AND WE CLOSE OUR EYES AND REFUSE TO SEE
AND WE STEEL OUR HEARTS AND HARDEN OUR MINDS
AND WE COUNT IT A WEAKNESS WHENEVER WE'RE KIND
WE ARE NO LONGER FOLLOWING THE FATHER'S WAY
OR SEEKING HIS GUIDANCE FROM DAY TO DAY
SO SPARE ME NO HEARTACHES OR SORROW,DEAR LORD,
FOR THE HEART THAT HURTS REAPS THE RICHEST REWARD
AND GOD BLESSES THE HEART THAT IS BROKEN WITH SORROW
AS HE OPENS THE DOOR TO A BRIGHTER TOMORROW..
FOR ONLY THROUGH TEARS CAN WE RECOGNIZE
THE SUFFERING THAT LIES IN ANOTHER'S EYES.

We Remember Them
At the rising of the sun and at its
going down
You will remember her.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter
You will remember her.
At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring
You will remember her.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer
You will remember her.
At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn
You will remember her.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends
You will remember her.
As long as you live, she too will live, for she is now a part of you
as
You will remember her.
When you are weary and in need of strength
You will remember her.
When you are lost and sick at heart
You will remember her.
When you have joy you crave to share
You will remember her.
When you have decisions that are difficult to make
You will remember her.
When you have achievements that are based on hers
You will remember her.
As long as you live, she too will live, for she is now a part of you
as
You will remember her.
A Tribute to Laci
Nothing false about Laci,
She was all things genuine to us:
Mother, sister, daughter, friend,
Living every dream.
Proud, beautiful, vivid and real
A true rose, just beginning to bloom.
Nothing sad about Laci,
She was all things joyful to us:
Smiling, laughing, telling jokes,
Stealing every scene,
Fun, feminine, friendly and fine,
The life of any party she graced.
Nothing dark about Laci,
She was all things luminous to us:
Bright, beautiful, brilliant and bold,
A star to all who loved her.
Radiant in her maternal glow,
Impossible to conceal her thrill.
Nothing sane could take Laci,
In a senseless moment, a sudden end,
Siezed, submerged, secreted, stark,
Destiny derailed by madness.
Tragedy beyond a reasonable doubt,
Stunned and silent, her world stood still.

A
smile as bright as hers,
can remain in your heart forever.
A smile as bright as hers,
can help keep us together.
A smile as bright as hers,
is like a huge sunflower.
A smile as bright as hers,
like a rainbow after a shower.
A smile as bright as hers,
affected us in so many ways
A smile as bright as hers,
never, ever, fades away.

)
You
may have gotten by but you will never get away.
The
Righteous Judge is definitely coming back one day.
You
know you were wrong and will say it’s not your fault.
You
think you got over because you didn’t get caught.
You do any and everything you can possibly do.
You
disrespect the elderly, family, and yourself, too!
You
lie, cheat, fornicate, steal, covet and kill.
Everything
you’ve done will one day be revealed.
You look down on others because they’re not just like you.
You
judge them according to race and not by what they do.
You
may have gotten by but you will never get away.
You
will be held accountable for all your wrong one day.
There are eyes in heaven looking down at you.
There
is an angel recording everything that you do.
When
the seeds that you have planted have grown,
You
will reap exactly what you have sown.
I pray you don’t believe that God’s Word is not true.
There
is nowhere you can go that the Lord is not with you.
If
you think you got away and you’ll never do time,
The
Righteous Judge saw you when you committed your crime!

“Forever,
Our Brown Eyed, Dark Haired Girl”
When the dark falls and the sounds stop,
Listen closely to
all the tear drops.
Throughout the world you can see we care,
For a beautiful
young woman, brown eyes and dark hair.
A treasure she was carrying with anticipation and
pride,
Can now not be
forgotten, our feelings we cannot hide.
For the family and
friends that have suffered this loss,
Go on in her honor, no matter the cost.
When the sun rises
and the sounds begin,
Look closely in everything and you will see her again.
She is the
“Beauty” in all that lives and breathes,
She is the wind moving through the trees.
You
see her dreams have come true, she has Conner…..and forever she will
have you.

(Written during her Mother's TV News Broadcast at 7:00 P.M. here
in
Kalamazoo, Michigan)
May God lift you Spirit
As only God can do!
Your daughter is in Heaven
With her Baby Boy, ... 'tis true!
Take comfort in just knowing
That God loved "them" and knows
Their influence is forever
Laci's smile still grows and grows
To reach to all us humans
Who will remember "them,"
A Mother and her Unborn
Were safe with God just when
Their Spirits left this world,
Their bodies were not their grave,
Their life is now in Heaven
And only God can save!
So trust God with their Spirits,
We know He loves and cares!
The smiles Laci gave ... ever
Will remain always to share!
The love she gave while living
Will remain in hearts always,
Forever "they" are living
While all the world still prays!
Mom, Share
"Our" Smile With The World
I am embraced in love and light
and my baby - embraced by me
God's loving arms, they hold us now
for all eternity
and the laughter we shared - keep laughing,
I still laugh with you
no more sleepless nights, mom, please, rest for me
In the morning I'll be there
rising with the sun
I am in your soul
I am your sunlight
I am the rays that break through
Mom, please understand
I do this now for you
And from all that you have taught me -
I learned to never be kept down
and my smile - he could not take from me
My smile
gracing the screen
it's your smile, mom
it's your smile now they see
for all I've become -
its because of you
and all the world now sees
my tears
my hope
and now, a spirit
soaring free
In 'our' smile, mom - it's in our smile
smile again, for me.

I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm
free.
I'm following the path God has laid you see.
I took His hand when I heard Him call.
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that peace at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joys.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much.
Good friends, good times, my mother's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief.
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee.
God wanted me now; he set me free!

LETTER FROM HEAVEN
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say.
But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God
above. Here, there's no more tears of sadness; Here is just
eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was
through. God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome
you.
It's good to have you back again, you were missed while
you were gone. As for your dearest family, They'll be here later
on.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to
do. And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night the day's chores put to
flight. God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the
night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving
years. Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you
tears.
But do not be afraid to cry: it does relieve the pain. Remember
there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
If I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is
o'er. I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to
climb; But together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too;
That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain;
Then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in
vain."
And now I am contented....that my life was worthwhile.
Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low;
Just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street and you've got Me on
your mind; I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step
behind.
And when it's time for you to go....from that body to be
free. Remember you're not going.....you're coming here to Me.

LACI
in PINK, Conner In BLUE
Laci
in Pink, Conner in Blue,
How
the world wonders, what happened to you?
A
cold December day, someone took you away,
Please know we think of you and miss you each day,
Don’t
worry about your mother, as you gave her strength when she gave you
life.
Don’t worry for Conner; we wrap him tight in our prayers each night,
Sleep
tight little baby, sleep tight.
Laci
in pink, Conner in Blue, how the world wonders what happened to you?
This
spring I planted beautiful flowers in your honor,
I
hung a small tree swing for your baby Conner
The
whole world is praying for you and your baby
You
were such a giving soul, and just a beautiful lady
We
grieve each day as we feel you are restless
Laci,
help us to control these emotions and not become reckless,
Rest
your soul sweet Laci, everything will be all right
As
we search for answers each day and pray each night,
Justice
is coming; evil can’t hide,
Evil
speaks no truth but the eyes can’t lie,
Soon
the day will come to put you and Conner to rest
To
cover your grave with the flowers you liked best
To
say comforting words to put you at ease
Such
a loving girl so easy to please
God
bless you Laci in pink and Conner in Blue
Our
world is much darker without you.
